Title 1 Parent Involvement Policy

Parents, we need you.  We love it when you support your students in athletics, drama, AcaDeca, FFA, and all other extra-curriculars.  However, we need you, as parents, to be an active participant in your students education.  Parents say, "but how?"  Here's a list:

1. Ask about what they do in class; key words are "show me".  'Show me how to do that' or 'show me what you've been working on'.

2. Get to know the school information systems.  Many teachers use schoology; ask your student to show you the class page, the discussions, the assignments.  It is a very transparent look at class assignments.

3. Pick one teacher a week.  Send them an email, asking about what's going on in class and ask how you can help your student be successful.

4. Spend as much time being involved with education as with extra-curricular activities.

The more involved you are, the more likely your student will be successful.

The following revised Title I Parent Involvement Policy, includes the most recent input from parents/guardians and students from Upper Lake High School.  The Title I Parent Involvement Policy was Board approved on July 8, 2015.
